"Progetto Atelier"
The Atelier Project philosophy is founded on the theory and the practice of artistic languages interaction
and its aim is to open the hotel “Common Spaces” to contemporary artists of international fame from all around the world. Its
scope is to offer a training place for young talents, transforming the Albornoz Palace Hotel into a laboratory and a workshop. This is how the hotel becomes a cultural promoter,
not only for the paintings and the sculptures, but also for ballet, theatre, music
and poetry.
It’s in this intellectual frenzy where the Dance Group “ContemporaneaMente”; was born. Strongly advocated by Loredana Chionne who has been for quite a few years the cultural partner of Sandro Tulli in this stimulating adventure, the Group was founded by Sara Libori and Arianna De Angelis, who are also dancers as well as choreographers.
“ContemporaneaMente” set on stage many performances and improvisations with the collaboration of
famous contemporary artists like Luca Maria Patella, Bruno Ceccobelli, Nicola Carrino, Enrico Bentivoglio and more.
Distinguished actors have accepted enthusiastically to participate in the project,
setting on stage, in the beautiful park of the Hotel, shows that have been greatly
appreciated by the audience. To name one, the three evenings dedicated to the
world of Fiabe d’Autore, revisited and directed by three famous actors like Pietro Biondi, Mauro Bronchi (one of the three popular “Sorelle Bandiera”) and Anna Leonardi; live music and choreographies of the Dance Group ContemporaneaMente and stage
design by Moreno Bizzarri.
Several moments were dedicated to Mario Lunetta's poetry whose poems were read by Sebastiano Colla, Annamaria Iacopini, Pietro Biondi, Rita Di Lernia as well as Tommaso Binga’s musical poem, read and interpreted by the author.
Also cinematography has made its grand entrance in the Summer of 2007 with an
interesting short, “Noiseless Hotel”. A 22 minute weird story taking place at the Albornoz Palace of Spoleto, which, in this particular situation, becomes a ”Noiseless Hotel”. An exclusive resort which, thanks to the most advanced technology, ensures
absolute silence to its guests… a gloomy and deafening silence which will create
unusual and funny situations to the four guests of that particular winter day…
The stage design is by the great talent of Chiara Montenero, the director is Luigi Favali and the four main characters are the famous: Carlo delle Piane, an icon of Italian cinema, Antonio Catania, Laura Lattuada and Dario Bandiera.
Sandro Tulli, the hotel owner, wishes to thank all the artists, the critics, all the art
lovers and everyone that has contributed with passion in all these years to make
his dream come true. He has shared with them enthusiasm, doubts, praises and criticisms,
thus giving a important contribution to the development of contemporary art in
the Umbrian territory.
